Because of its refreshing pine, lime aroma and low cost, dipentene extra is mainly used as cost effective ingredient for household products. Dipentene 96% and 92% are largely used as solvent in the reclaim of rubber and as dispersant, wetting, frothing agents for industrial applications. Dipentene from camphene production can also be used as starting material for the synthesis of p-cymene and p-menthane.
